CONDITIONS FOR ACCESS TO FUNDING 
Access to World Bank Group financing under this program is based on several criteria and mechanisms:  
Country Eligibility 
‣
All member nations of the World Bank Group, including low- and middle-income countries, may 
apply for financial and technical support.  
Alignment with National Strategies 
‣
Projects must align with national development priorities as well as with Country Partnership 
Frameworks and poverty-reduction strategies.  
Financing Modalities 
‣
Financing is provided in the form of loans, grants, or guarantees, depending on the country's status 
(IDA, International Bank for Reconstruction and Development [IBRD], or blended financing).  
‣
The possibility exists to mobilize blended financing (IDA-IBRD) and to establish partnerships with 
other financing institutions.  
Project Selection Criteria  
‣
Potential impact on poverty reduction and social inclusion 
‣
Capacity to effectively target vulnerable populations, particularly women  
‣
Viability and sustainability of the proposed intervention  
Monitoring and Evaluation 
‣
Funded projects must incorporate rigorous monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to measure 
results and their impact on beneficiaries.
